Amitabh Bachchan has verified rumours that he hurt his ribs while filming his upcoming movie, “Project K,” in Hyderabad.
While filming an action scene for the next movie, which also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles, the seasoned actor popped his rib cartilage. He was flown back to his home in Mumbai for some relaxation after receiving the requisite medical attention in a hospital in Hyderabad.
The actor was against Puneet Issar in a fight scene on Manmohan Desai’s Coolie while performing his own stunts. However, during the scenc he struck the corner of the table and ruptured his spleen instead of falling on a table or the ground as planned. Amitabh was taken to St. Philomena’s Hospital.
Mr. Bachchan wrote on his blog, “I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage .. cancelled shoot .. did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home .. strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain..”
